Harbin Ice festival { 33 images } Created 14 Jan 2009

In the north of China, border whit Russia, every year there is the Harbin ice festival, the largest ice and snow festival in the world. The temperature goes around -35C (-31F). Officially, the festival starts January 5th and lasts one month. However the exhibits often open earlier and stay longer, weather permitting. Ice sculpture decoration technology ranges from the modern (using lasers) to traditional (with ice lanterns). Wikipedia.
